BURNLEY'S Division Two survival mission kicks-off against Bournemouth tonight.
And player-manager Adrian Heath is ready to launch Spurs striker Paul Mahorn on the Turf Moor stage.
The Premiership forward made an impressive Burnley debut at Wycombe and Heath said: "He took his goal very well on Saturday and we have the option of giving him a start.
"I'm sure our fans would give him a great welcome if he is in the side. I can't underline the importance of tonight's game enough.
"It is vital that we try and get a result. We have 10 games left to play. If we can't pick up a couple of wins from those games then we're going to be in trouble.
"But I'm confident, that over the next three or four games, we can get enough points to stay in the Second Division."
Heath added: "I think the players understand just how genuinely important the next fortnight is to this football club.
"If we can gather another six points, and remember the teams in the bottom four have played a couple more games than us, they would have to put together their best run of the season to catch us."
Burnley will have to make at least one change tonight after left-back Chris Vinnicombe (pictured above right), broke his ankle at Wycombe.
He added: "David Eyres can play in that position and so can Charlie Bishop. We also have the option of playing Mark Winstanley in there because he is a natural left-footer and is very quick. He also marks very well on a man to man defensive situation."
Heath added: "Tonight will be a very difficult test for us. We've had Bournemouth watched and we know how they are going to play.
"Bournemouth get everybody behind the ball and defend deep. They will make it as difficult as possible for the opposition.
"But I'm more concerned with our performance. We will have to be patient and break them down."
Bournemouth include Chris Casper in their squad. The son of the former Burnley player and manager Frank is on loan from double chasing Manchester United.
Bournemouth will choose from: Glass, Young Beardsmore, Coll, Casper, Mitchell, Holland, Cox, Jones, Robinson, Brissett, Rawlinson, Bailey, O'Neill, Howe.
Burnley will hear today if permission has been granted to open the new North Stand in time for Saturday's roses derby against Bradford City.
