BLACKBURN has a large proportion of Asians who participate a lot in local politics, but they should start to broaden their horizons and head towards national politics.
The Tory party has recently 'imported' an Asian prospective parliamentary candidate all the way from London. Does this mean that they could not muster a local Tory Asian candidate for the forthcoming election, or is it that Blackburn Asians don't want to join the Tory Party?
Surely, it is both awkward for the Tories and 'bad politics' to work in total isolation from the Asian community for so long.
