A NEW course aimed at helping older people find work is being staged later this month.
It will be held at the University of Central Lancashire as part of the European Year of Life Long Learning.
"Mature people looking for work find the experience increasingly daunting.
"Employers stereotype them as untrainable and expensive," said Jim Soulsby, from the University's Community Liaison department.
"Unfortunately this can often be reinforced by older people themselves who do not always effectively present their experience skills and achievement."
Further details are available from Mr Soulsby on 01772 892379.
