HAVE-a-go dad Kevin Robertson tackled an armed robber - but his wife wasn't over impressed!
Driving instructor Kevin sprang into action on the spur of the moment - then got a "ticking off" by wife Marie afterwards.
Now Mrs Robertson has reason to be more pleased. Her husband has handed her a £500 cheque.
Kevin, from Crawshawbooth, received the cheque and a certificate from the High Sheriff of Lancaster.
And he joked: "I got the certificate and gave the cheque to my wife."
The father of two grabbed the gunman in a headlock after spotting him robbing a security guard in Bury town centre in October 1994.
His bravery was praised by Judge Reginald Lockett who paid tribute to his courage.
Kevin is more modest about what he did.
He said: "Its nothing to do with bravery. I just saw what was going on and did it."
He went on: "It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. Afterwards I didn't feel that bothered about it, but my wife had a go at me."
