INWARD, the agency for attracting foreign firms to invest in the North West, has been given a £1,388,000 grant by the Government.
The agency's annual grant from the Department of Trade and Industry has increased by £10,000 for 1996/97.
Since INWARD was formed in 1985 it has helped attract more than 240 businesses to set up or expand in the region, securing more than 16,000 direct jobs and involving investment of more than £580 million.
