RAIDERS broke into a post office van loaded with mail after the driver went for help over a flat tyre.
The driver left his van in Preston New Road, Blackburn, and went to the telephone. When he came back he found the van had been broken into and a sack of registered mail missing.
It was one in a spate of incidents where drivers discovered problems with their vehicles and returned to discover cash was gone.
