HOSPITAL bosses called in a private security firm in a bid to beat teenage wreckers.

Aerosol-wielding vandals left a trail of damage at Burnley General Hospital totalling thousands of pounds. Management were weighing up Securicor proposals, including a guard dog patrol round hospital premises.

Unit manager Nigel Fryer said that the damage toll was causing them concern.
