I AGREE with Mr S Adam (Letters, March 26) - Britain is now a racist society. But, unlike him, I'd say that racism is committed by Afro/Caribbean, Asian and European people alike.
The words 'racist' and 'racialism' are used as a smokescreen in an attempt to frighten the majority white population into keeping quiet on the race and immigration subjects.
We do not have the jobs, houses, schools, hospitals or money to take on board more economic refugees or immigrants - legal or illegal.
The population of this country before the Second World War was 45 million. Today it is around 56.
In September, 1994, Peter Tomkins, former head of the UK Immigration Service, revealed that while, according to the Home Office, in the five years up to 1993, 264,500 immigrants settled in Great Britain, the actual number was 625,000.
How much longer is this cover-up going to continue? Whether the immigrants are legal or illegal, these numbers show that an end to the open-door policy is required.
