WORRIED winger David Eyres knows Burnley need to act fast to stop their present slump.
"The alarm bells are starting to sound now," said Eyres prior to the Clarets trip to Brighton tonight.
Eyres is well are that Burnley are in a perilous position after the 3-2 home defeat against Bradford on Saturday.
Adrian Heath's men have gone on a dramatic slide and are now just one point above the drop zone.
"We were talking about promotion three months ago and now we are talking about trying to stay up," said a concerned Eyres.
"The club is too good to go down but it now up to us as players to make sure that we don't.
"It is a case of everyone working hard and trying to win every tackle, every loose ball.
"We've only got three home games left and they are the games that we need to win.
"We know we need two more wins and we should be safe. But we need to work as a team."
