DETECTIVES were today set to reveal startling new developments in their investigations into the murder of accountant David Wilson.
It is understood that two people, believed to be French, have been arrested in Kent in connection with the execution of the 47-year-old.
Officers based at Chorley Police station called a special news conference today to reveal their new findings.
Mr Wilson died after being shot in the head in the garage of his Brinscall home on March 5, 1992. American "Mr Big" Michael Austin is currently appealing against a life sentence imposed in February 1995 for ordering the execution.
Mr Wilson was believed to have reneged on a business deal which formed part of Austin's multi-million pound Marlboro cigarette fraud.
The two "hit-men" who carried out the killing have never been brought to justice.
