LEIGH Olympic Wrestling Club showed off their champion style at the British Junior Championships in Slough.

They produced four title-winning performances.

Kyle Orrell took the schoolboy 25kg crown, hard work of many weeks paying dividends in a convincing show.

Then schoolgirl Sammy Steward struck gold at 28kg while at 38kg another title fell to Adelle Clarke.

Mellisa Fairclough discovered she was fighting above her weight at 41kg. But she stuck to her task for silver, just ahead of team mate Rachelle Williams (bronze), who has been placed in every competition with the club.

At 34kg Ashley Neal battled bravely for fifth spot, two behind Danny O'Brien who, but for a simple mistake, would have grabbed gold.

There was bronze, too, for Calvin Everet while Lee Beazant (40kg) was fourth, improving with every fight. Daniel Clarke lost his third-place fight, but is fast improving.

Mistakes cost Mark Orrell, who should have been fighting for gold but had to settle for fifth, while Craig Fairclough battled hard for fourth, losing to a rival he had already beaten.

The fourth gold went to Neil Roberts.
