TWO non-executive directors have been appointed to the Board of North West Water Limited.

Deborah Morton and Phillida Entwistle took their places on April 1.

"Their contribution will add a special focus to customer issues," said NWW's managing director Derek Green.

Deborah Morton, 42, was previously a member of Ofwat's North West Customer Service Committee and chaired its complaints panel.

She is also a JP at Liverpool Magistrates Court.

Phillida Entwistle, 52, a qualified zoologist, is also a JP in Liverpool.

She has a long record of community service in the city, having been a member of Mersey Regional Health Authority, a Governor of John Moores University and still a member of the Rail Users Consultative Committee for the North West.

She now lives in Cumbria where she is chairman of the Furness Hospitals NHS Trust.
