TWO prominent buildings near to Burnley town centre have been put on the market.

Buyers are being sought for Caldervale House, the former Questword store, and for the former County Court buildings on Bankhouse Street.

Caldervale House has been empty for only a short time since the retail chain was put into the hands of the receivers.

Offers of around £350,000 are invited.

The building next to Kwik Fit and opposite Do It All has full retail planning permission and is being offered for sale on behalf of the receivers by Trevor Dawson and Company of St James Street, Burnley.

The building offers 13,000 sq ft of retail and storage space with adjacent car parking leased from Burnley Council.

The red brick and stone former County Court building which fronts on to Active Way has been empty for some time. The building needs refurbishment but a spokesman for Trevor Dawson and Company said they expected a good level of interest from office users.
