A YOUNG thug stole a £30 jacket from a man in Accrington town centre after threatening him with a knife.

The thief approached his 22-year-old victim in the bus station yesterday afternoon and asked for £2.

When the man refused, the robber then asked for a cigarette.

After the man refused for a second time, he produced the knife and demanded the coat.

The thief was 17 or 18, about 5ft 9in and of medium build with short black hair cut into a distinctive v-shape at the front, and a thin face.

He was wore a cream-coloured jacket, denim shirt and jeans.
