AN original painting of the Lancashire countryside will come under the hammer at a charity evening to boost the SuperScan appeal.
Cottages on Pennine Moors was painted by Jack Hammill, from Rochdale, a member of Pennine Artists, and has been donated to Accrington Lions.
The picture will be auctioned at the Lions' dinner and cabaret on Saturday, April 27, at The Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors.
TV Comedian Tony Jo, female vocalist Zanthi, magic from Ricardo and dancing to Solid Gold featuring Jay Turner will all be highlights of the evening.
Laurie Denton, of Accrington Lions, said: "We want to raise loads of money for the SuperScan Appeal and hope everyone will support us."
Anyone wanting to make a bid for the picture or who would like tickets, which are priced at £14, should contact Laurie Denton on 01254 397026.
