THIEVES who broke into a haulage compound and stole a truck have been caught on video .
Detectives are closely studying the security camera footage taken during the incident at Preston Fuel and Haulage Company's station yard premises in Earby.
The three-strong gang got into the yard and caused hundreds of pounds of damage to six Mercedes wagons by slashing side curtaining and breaking windows. They then stole a white Mercedes box van, F640 JNA, valued at £5,000.
Police have released detailed descriptions of the men, who are all white.
The first is stockily built, 5ft 9ins tall, and pigeon-toed. His head is shaved on each side, with the hair long on top falling into a pony-tail. He was wearing an orangey-red jacket, T-shirt and white trainers.
The second man is in his mid-20s, 6ft tall, with short cropped blond hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket with red stripes across the back and white stripes on the sides and sleeves.
The third member of the gang is also in his mid-20s and 6ft tall, with strawberry blond cropped hair. He was also wearing blue jeans.
The incident happened on Saturday at tea-time.
