STAR striker Andy Saville has shot his way to the Citizen's Player of the Year award.
The bald-headed goal-getter swooped to claim our Player of the Month title for a superb THIRD time and has now been declared Player of the Year.
Saville arrived at Deepdale last summer from Birmingham City and instantly won over the Preston faithful with his tireless work-rate and silky skill.
He fitted into Gary Peter's plans perfectly and soon became the focal point of North End's play.
When PNE finally get to perform in Division Two they can thank the great hairless one for getting them there.
Saville is always looks dangerous and is never afraid to let fly.
Perhaps his most stunning display this year was against Mansfield Town when PNE hit six. Steve Wilkinson and Sav both notched hat-tricks. Andy Saville's magic has captivated North End followers everywhere and has left defences spellbound.
Citizen editor Naomi Bunting said: "Andy has received so many nominations. He is obviously a favourite with the fans. We are delighted he is our Player of the Year and wish him success as he goes with North End into the second division."
