SPECIALIST Ramsbottom company Northern Parrots have stuck a feather in their cap by securing the exclusive rights to a system which will teach parrots to talk.
The Parnami avian speech instruction CD disc can be played to them until the bird is able to repeat them.
The idea sounds simple but has taken a long time to develop and it has sound gaps which can be specially programmed to avoid monotony.
"Good morning," "cheer up" and "how are you?" are typical phrases and Polly could advance to more complex ones like "I tawt I taw a Puddy tat!"
