LEARNER drivers in Bury will be facing up to the Theory Test sooner than expected as driving test dates before the July 1 deadline become increasingly harder to get. A British School of motoring survey shows that waiting times in Bury at the beginning of April have soared to 11 weeks compared with only three weeks six months ago.
Across the country driving test waiting times are as high as 16 weeks in some areas. making the Theory Test a reality for many learner drivers now.
But don't be worried. BSM's managing director Richard Glover says: "This new exam is passable providing drivers prepare in advance and take expert advice from their instructor.
"With over 600 possible questions covering 16 broad motoring topics to select test papers from, gone are the days when people can cram their road signs and stopping distances the night before."
Everything learner drivers need to know is in the BSM's new book, Pass Your Driving Theory Test (Virgin £4.99).
