THE wartime spirit will be recreated in a Blackburn cafe bar this week.
Promoter Alf Wright has organised a "Return To The Forties" revue which promises to bring back the laughter, gaiety, music and song of 1939 to '45.
Alf originally staged the show to mark the 50th anniversary of VE Day and brings it back due to popular demand.
Starring 'Crosby soundalike' Roy Chappell, the show includes Steve King, singer Betzee and comedy instrumentalist Pete Lindup, backed by the Colin Hilton's Orchestral Sounds.
The show takes place at Blakey's Bar in Blackburn on Thursday next from 2.30pm and admission on the door is £2.50, including pie and peas.
