A RELIC of the old Colne-Skipton railway line will soon disappear.
Work was due to start yesterday on dismantling the viaduct which carried the former railway over the Leeds-Liverpool Canal at Foulridge Wharf.
The viaduct, believed to be one of only two of its kind in the country, is in a dangerous condition. The bridge is used by people walking along the line but there is no legal right of way.
