COMMUNITY groups in Burnley will soon get backing to make their own environmental schemes a reality, thanks to a new project to be announced this week
The Community Environment Fund will be launched by council leader Kath Reade, who is also chairman of Burnley Regeneration Forum's Challenge Fund, which is supporting the scheme.
Coun Reade will announce details at Burnley Wildlife Partnership's annual Wildlife Activity Day, on Saturday, which begins at 11am at St Peter's School.
The Mayor, Coun Arthur Park, will open the event and also the wildlife garden at St Peter's.
