UNIFORM firm Simon Jersey is expanding again with a £760,000 extension at its Altham site.
The firm, Britain's fastest-growing supplier of clothing to business and industry worldwide, has embarked on a three-storey extension to its offices on the Altham Business Park.
A new research and design building is also being constructed as part of the contract with Eric Wright Construction.
"Our workplace is important first and foremost to those who work within it," said Simon Jersey's chairman and joint managing director Simon Moyle.
"The total commitment we have from our staff is in a large way attributed to the pleasure they have in working in such an original building. "The impression of professionalism, style and design that the building gives to visiting clients has been directly responsible for cementing long-term contracts with many international blue chip organisations."
The extensions, totalling 25,000 sq ft, are expected to be completed by October 1996.
Simon Jersey's UK catalogue division has been chosen to supply food service management firm Eurest with a new corporate look.
More than 20,000 staff, including chefs, waiters and porters, are now wearing Simon Jersey uniforms.
"This long-term contract represents one of the largest single agreements the UK catalogue division has had to date," said Sarah Poole, UK catalogue sales manager.
