A NEW community company in Burnley will recycle cola cans and renovate old furniture in a bid to create job opportunities and protect the environment.
Burnley Community Business and Resources Centre Ltd., also aims to provide small start up workshops, provide training for unemployed people, be the centre for an equipment and vehicle loan scheme and help firms save on their waste disposal costs.
And the company want to link with as many voluntary groups as possible to find areas of common benefit.
The inaugural open meeting of the new group will be held at the Central Methodist Church, Burnley, on Wednesday May 1.
The company has identified a headquarters and has cash backing from the Government Challenge Fund and European Union funds.
