CARL Fogarty and Neil Hodgson will both be hoping to put the disappointments of Misano behind them this Sunday at Donington for round two of the 1996 World Superbike Championship.
Double world champion Fogarty, riding his new Honda RC45, endured a tough opening round in San Marino.
A 100mph qualifying crash left him bruised and shaken. But the Blackburn ace still managed to ride both races, claiming seventh and sixth places.
"I scraped as many points as I could in Italy but Sunday's second round at Donington Park will be different," said Fogarty.
Burnley hope Hodgson, who is riding for Ducati, is also keen to impress after a poor first round.
Despite qualifying a fine third on the grid, Hodgson made a bad start and was further hampered by engine problems, which left him with a 12th from race one and a retirement in the second race.
"It was a disaster from start to finish and such an anti-climax," said Hodgson.
