GED Furey and Nick Lomas won the Pro-Captain Challenge at Hillside Golf Club by four strokes after firing a marvellous 63.
Furey was excellent throughout but Lomas, off eight, played a significant part, recording a nett eagle on 18 to make sure of victory.
The Pleasington pair now play in the Grand Final on May 28 at Wentworth, home of the European Tour's PGA Championship.
Meanwhile, Clare Blackshaw from Blackburn narrowly failed to lift the Lancashire Women's Championship at Bolton yesterday when she was beaten by one hole by Lancaster's Andrea Murray.
Blackshaw began with three straight birdies but Murray clawed her way back to take the lead at the 16th and closed out the match on the final hole.
Preston joiner Carl Wallbank, who plays at Fairhaven Golf Club, will make his England debut next month in the match against Spain at Sunningdale.
But there is no room for Lancashire champion Garry Boardman, from Castle Hawk Golf Club in Rochdale, who was expected to make the team.
