ONCE again, Bill Goldsmith has shown his political inadequacy by making a song and dance about Tory Party leaflets (LET, April 23). He should change the record and get a life.
I know it is hard for him to swallow the fact that Tory councillors stand on their work for the community and not on party politics.
When the people of Oswaldtwistle get their Labour leaflet, they will find that they make little or no mention of local affairs, but are just an exercise in government-bashing.
Whereas the leaflets put out by Peter Britcliffe, Doug and Sandra Hayes do not even mention the Labour Party, either locally or nationally.
Instead, they concentrate on what they have done for our community and what they will do when re-elected.
Our leaflets carry the Tory Party emblem and are printed in blue and if anyone who does not know that Peter, Doug and Sandra are Tories, well, I need say no more.
JOHN D FARRER, Conservative Party campaign manager, Mallard Place, Oswaldtwistle.
