AS police authorities call for psychological profiling for people wishing to hold gun licences, so should politicians purporting to represent the electorate likewise undergo psychological profiling, having regard to the disastrous performance of our political establishment in past decades.

Bad judgment, misplaced sentiment in dealing with criminals, illegal immigrants and bogus asylum seekers, under-the-table negotiations with terrorists, involvement of our armed forces in foreign civil wars and injustice against the racial British majority, who are by tradition and birthright, the greatest national asset this country has ever had or ever likely to have, all illustrate the necessity for British politicians to prove their psychological ability to govern this country according to national interests.

This country is the poorer for the loss of 15 children and a teacher because the mind of a licensed gun holder snapped with disastrous consequences.

Yet, it is worse to expose an entire country to mayhem through insane policies which have been pursued for the past 50 years by politicians whose psychological ability leaves as much to be desired as a gun in the hands of a Thomas Hamilton.

SYLVIA NOBLE (Mrs), Albert Road, Colne.
