CARL Fogarty is determined to give the British fans something to shout about in tomorrow's Donington Park round of the World Superbike Championship.
Double world champion Fogarty had to settle for a seventh and sixth place in the opening round in Misano, San Marino and will be looking to steer his Honda RC45 to two podium finishes.
"There have been no problems in testing and I want to win.
"The Donington track is much smoother than Misano and is more suited to the Honda," said a determined Fogarty.
But the Blackburn ace is not forcasting an easy season ahead.
"The Ducati goes well on all tracks, but the Honda does not like bumps and it will be like that all season," added Fogarty.
Meanwhile Burnley hope Neil Hodgson is also hoping to improve on his first round showing.
A 12th position and retirement left the Ducati rider frustrated and even more eager to impress tomorrow.
"My season starts at Donington. It's my favourite track in the world. I must have raced there over 50 times.
"Misano was such an anti-climax, but the team is ok and they keep telling me I'm under no pressure.
"But I want to win and that's it. I know the circuits and don't need a season to learn," added Hodgson.
Hodgson's team-mate John Kocinski leads the title table with 45 points, ahead of Troy Corser (Ducati) on 40 points and Pier-Francesco Chili (Ducati) on 29 points in third position.
