FACTORY workers braved spring showers to take part in a fun run to raise funds for the Friends of Chernobyl Children charity.
Workers from Philips Components in Blackburn took part in the two-mile run around the factory perimeter both to raise cash for the charity which brings children from Chernobyl to East Lancashire, and also to mark the end of their safety and fitness week.
Philips worker Kay Dickinson explained: "I am a host family for two children from Chernobyl and I wanted to do some fund-raising to mark the 10th anniversary of the disaster.
"I was really pleased with the response, especially as the heavens opened just before the run began."
