A POLLUTION probe was launched after diesel oil contaminated a stream running through a town centre.
Residents in Oswaldtwistle flooded the North West Water Authority with complaints, following the oil leak in Tinker Brook.
Diesel and heavy heating oil had been polluting a 300-yard stretch of the stream for about four weeks. It was understood that the oil leaked from a storage tank at a local firm.
