STUDENTS Nicholas Brierley and Stephanie Howarth are off on a trip of a lifetime - thanks to Thwaites brewery.
Nicholas, 18, a student at St Wilfrid's High School and Stephanie, 16, who attends St Mary's College, Blackburn, have been picked to join a trip to Brazil under the Daniel Thwaites Travel Scholarship.
The scheme was introduced 37 years ago by brewery president John Yerburgh to enable students to get first hand experience of how families throughout the world live.
This year's party of nine young people will fly out to Brazil in July and spend two weeks staying with families there.
"The travel scholarship has been a great success," said Mr Yerburgh.
