LITTLE Eliot Foy's artwork could earn him and his family a trip to Atlanta for this year's Olympic Games - and £5,000 for his school.
The five-year-old pupil of St Bernadette's Primary School, in Blackpool, has won a place as one of 25 finalists in the nationwide Midland Olympic Art Challenge competition.
And amazingly, Eliot, of Balfour Close, Thorton Cleveleys, is the youngest of the five regional finalists - an area which covers Scotland and the North of England.
Nationwide there were more than 50,000 entrants between the ages of five and 18.
Midland Bank - sponsors of the British Olympic team - invited pupils to depict 100 years of the modern Olympic Games, as 1996 marks the centennial year.
Eliot's art teacher Jane Sumner said: "Eliot has amazed us all. He's done well to get so far considering how young he is and how many entrants there were.
"He's a very good artist. His picture was of a stick man and he kept it simple, but it said everything that needed to be."
She added: "The school is very proud of him. If he does win and we receive £5,000 I hope it will go to the art department - something he loves."
