GREAT HARWOOD Town completed Mission Impossible... without kicking a ball!
Fleetwood's 2-1 defeat against Curzon Ashton on Saturday (April 27) means they are relegated from Unibond League Division One.
It ends an amazing first month's reign for new boss Martin Eatough, who took over a side marooned at the bottom of the table.
"The lads have been absolutely terrific," enthused Eatough. "They have shown bags of enthusiasm and Dave Sergeant and myself have only had to make a couple of tactical changes.
"When I came here I said we would have to win at least three of our five remaining games. It was a tall order and realistically I thought we were going to go down. But we have managed to win three out of four and we are over the moon."
Town now aim to go out on a high note on Saturday (May 4) with victory at Radcliffe Borough.
