PRESTON Grasshoppers rounded off their season with a swashbuckling display of running rugby to whack Wigan 58-5.
Tries by Nick Bell, Neil Ashton and Barrie Greenwood, two of which were converted by Bell who also kicked a penalty, gave Hoppers a 22-0 half-time lead.
Wigan scored a try early in the second half, but Hoppers were rampant as Greenwood, Alistair Christopherson, Glyn Dewhurst, John Chesworth, Bell and Ashton ran in tries with a conversion each for Bell, Phil Crayston and Keith Aitchison.
