PNE supporters in Bamber Bridge are planning to resurrect a coffin that has laid in a pub cellar for three years.
Regulars at the Withy Trees in Station Road will be holding a mock resurrection ceremony for the coffin which has been used to symbolise the successes and failures of Preston North End for more than 50 years.
But landlord of the pub Brian Cottam said he was having problems rounding up all the team who used to arrange the event.
He said: "Most of these people are dead. We're trying to FORM a committee to get it going again."
He said he hoped that they would stick to the traditional methods formerly seen at the Bamber Bridge Festival.
