WHILE Tracey Williams's success at an annual sales award evening was being announced in Haydock, she was in Bury winning her way to the semi-finals of a pubs league dominoes competition!
A sales consultant at the Co-op's United Norwest Travel branch at Wythenshawe, Manchester, Tracey knew she was in the running for a £600 holiday for two in Gran Canaria.
But as the only woman in the dominoes league competition she had not wanted to let her partner down - particularly as their entry fee would have been forfeited!
"I think it was just as well I wasn't at the presentation because I would have burst into tears," said Tracey, who lives in Bury and has worked at the local United Norwest branch.
Her holiday prize was for the group's Sales Person of the Year and in addition to the holiday she wins £100 as one of four regional sales persons of the year.
