BURNLEY are set to become one of the Endsleigh League's most cosmopolitan clubs. Having secured second division safety, manager Adrian Heath is starting his rebuilding process by tracking several players from the continent.
A Dutch striker whose identity had still not been revealed yesterday (May 1) is on his way to Burnley, and Heath is also watching players in German and Portuguese leagues.
Coupled with impressive new all-seater stands and the smart new strip - and not forgetting the youthful manager himself - the foreign faces will freshen up the club next season.
The current players, however, have one more match in which to impress Heath before he goes off on his European mission.
The home tie with Shrewsbury on Saturday is a final chance for battle-worn Clarets to get a result. For some of them it could be their last game for Burnley - Heath is bound to make major squad changes over the summer.
He's been holding talks with Barnsley about a permanent move for Charlie Bishop, who has impressed during his one-month loan period. The versatile £100,000-rated defender could become Heath's first signing.
