IT'S the question we all want to know the answer to. How do you take that first step towards rock and roll superstardom?
Now the days of standing in front of the bathroom mirror playing your air guitar with the strains of Deep Purple or Van Halen blasting out of the stereo could be over.
Thanks to a deal struck with guitar giants Fender, Morecambe's Promenade Music is offering budding axe men the chance to enrol in their new rock school.
David Wood, the owner of Promenade Music, explained: "We are constantly being asked about guitar lessons from people of all ages from beginners to accomplished players but up until now we have only been able to offer a limited service.
"Around the end of last year we approached Fender with an idea to open a rock school for all.
"Fender were somewhat sceptical to say the least but after numerous phone calls and meetings they eventually said, if we could find the right personnel on the tutorial side, they would view the matter favourable."
The right teachers have been found and the Academy of Rock opens its doors next week.
Expert guidance will be provided by top tutors Terry Kennaugh - who has shared a stage with people like Chuck Berry and B.B. King - and Lancaster's Eddie Waring, formerly the music director with the popular Sam Sarono band.
For more information about what could be the perfect chance to realise your dreams, call Promenade Music on (01524) 410202 or pop into the shop on Marine Road East in Morecambe.
