JUBILANT Labour were celebrating an election landslide that ensured a grip on all but one of East Lancashire town halls. And their triumph in the local polls seemed likely to have pushed a General Election back to the autumn.
In the first nationwide test of the Tories popularity since John Major came to power, East Lancashire voters followed the national trend which saw massive gains for Labour.
