LANCASHIRE Evening Telegraph sportswriter Brian Doogan was honoured in London last night, when he was highly commended for his work.
Brian, a key member of the best sports desk staff in the business, was invited to attend the British Sports Journalism Awards ceremony at the Rugby Club of London, Piccadilly.
And his work was highly commended in the Regional Daily Sports Writer of the Year category, won by Michael Aitken, of The Scotsman.
The judges' recognition of Brian's work underlines that, when it comes to sport, our readers are on a winner with the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
