SLEDGEHAMMER robbers snatched thousands of pounds in a daring superstore raid.
They struck at Blackburn's main Tesco store when it was packed with Saturday shoppers and threatened a guard before grabbing a bag full of cash.
"It was obviously a carefully planned operation and they got away with a very substantial amount of money," said Detective Chief Inspector Jim Oldcorn.
