A SCHOOL says it is delighted with an inspectors' report which praised the standards of education.
Haslingden Primary School was said to provide a very sound quality of education, pupils had good standards of behaviour and attendance, with almost all children achieving standards at the expected level.
Head teacher Michael Onyon and his governors gave good leadership, according to the Ofsted report. Chairman of governors, Bill Greenwood, said: "We are delighted the inspectors have recognised the substantial progress we have made in terms of leadership, management and relationships.
"I am also pleased the inspection report commended our caring and orderly community which helps children maintain good attitudes to their work."
Mr Greenwood added that several recommendations made by the inspectors, including increasing the pace and challenge of some lessons and completing the appraisal of all members of staff, were already being addressed.
