A LUCKY raffle ticket has won Ken and Christine Fitzpatrick a £90,000 Mercedes dream car from the Middle East.
But they won't be keeping it . . . they already have a Jaguar and a BMW!
The hotel-owning couple paid just under £100 for the ticket during a stop-off visit in the tax-free haven of Dubai airport.
They were on their way to a nine-day touring holiday in India, a birthday treat for Christine.
Ken said: "A friend of ours had told us about the raffles in the duty-free at Dubai. Apparently they sell just 1,000 tickets for each raffle so I thought it was worth a gamble - and I was right!"
The Fitzpatricks, who own the Higher Trapp Hotel, Simonstone, were delighted when the news came from Dubai that the car was theirs.
Ken added: "I have been invited back to Dubai, flying business class with two nights all-expenses paid in a local hotel. The presentations will be made and then the car is delivered to my door at home.
"I have no idea which side the steering wheel will be on or what colour it will be but I have a feeling it will come from a local dealer."
The Mercedes Benz SL 500 convertible is a top-of-the-range model, but the Fitzpatricks plan to sell it once it arrives.
Ken said: "I drive a Jaguar and my wife has a BMW convertible and we are both happy with the cars we have. We will probably sell it - if tax laws allow it!"
