SPORTING solicitors are stepping out in style to show their support for SuperScan.
And two members of the team of five from Taylors Solicitors in Exchange Street, Blackburn, will be jogging round one of the 20-mile courses on Sunday, May 19.
The solicitors entered a team of three in the SuperWalk of 1988 for the CT Scanner Appeal and raised more than £1,200.
Team member Tony Catterall said: "We are doing the walk really to see if we are still up to it eight years on and to see if we can match the amount we raised."
Taking part will be solicitor Andrew Holland, senior partner Tony Catterall, partner Diane Murphy, legal assistant David Hardman and managing partner Elaine Hurn. Appeal chairmen are keen to encourage many more groups and individuals to take part in the walk to help raise cash for the charity. People only have to complete as much of one of the courses as they can.
One route runs through Blackburn, Darwen and Hyndburn and the other covers Burnley, Nelson and Colne.
The third route, which was planned around Rossendale, has now been cancelled and appeal chairmen are contacting people who were set to walk in this area.
On the day there will be guides and signs put up to help people find their way and every two miles there will be a checkpoint describing the next part of the route.
Those who want to get involved can register by ringing the Superwalk hotlines on 01254 293634, or 293635, or fill in a Superwalk form available at Evening Telegraph offices, or printed in the paper.
Then it should be posted back to Queen's Park Hospital, Haslingden Road, Blackburn BB2 3HH, and sponsor forms and details will be sent out.
All the money raised will go towards the appeal which is raising £1 million for an MRI scanner. The appeal total this week stands at £101,922.
