DETECTIVES have released a man they were quizzing over the death of an Atherton mother of two.
Robert Glover, aged 40, was given police bail on Tuesday morning after being questioned at Leigh police station since Sunday night. A file will be sent to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Mr Glover was questioned about the death of Elizabeth Keefe, aged 50, who was found dead by her daughter on Saturday. Mr Glover walked into the police station on Sunday night.
Police had earlier issued an appeal for him to come forward after the discovery of Mrs Keefe's body.
She was found on the bedroom floor at the home she shared with Mr Glover in Mealhouse Lane, when her daughter, Denise, arrived at the house to spend the Bank Holiday weekend with her mother.
