EVERY one of the London Marathon runners - first to last - deserves a medal.
But, particularly, I would like to put on record my admiration of Gary Mitchell, of Darwen, and Malcolm Doherty, leader of Blackburn Council. Their efforts and altruism are of the highest order.
The glorious sight of the runners left one with the feeling of optimism for all our futures.
