STAFF at Beardwood Hospital, Blackburn, have received a giant vote of confidence from their patients.
The hospital has come first in a national survey on nursing care and communication.
An independent research organisation questioned patients at 21 private hospitals, like Beardwood, owned by BMI Healthcare.
The Blackburn hospital, which is served by 80 of the region's top consultants, came out top for its standard of nursing care.
Also for the effectiveness of the communication between medical staff and patients.
Hospital director Caroline Hebbelthwaite said: "We treat each person as an individual and our nursing staff provide a discreet, but caring approach to their needs. We also believe in providing as much information as the patient wants."
