CHURCH members across Pendle are helping to raise cash for charity.
Around 15 churches of differing denominations in Colne are joining for a massive house-to-house collection for Christian Aid Week from May 12 to 18.
And in West Craven, they are holding their annual sponsored walk in aid of the charity.
Walkers can choose between a 15-mile circuit or a 30-mile walk to mark the 30th anniversary of the event. The Rev Gary Ingram, minister of Holy Trinity Church, Colne, said: "Last year the amount we raised in Colne went up despite a general trend downwards of giving which was blamed on the Lottery.
"All the money raised goes to Christian Aid, which helps Christian and non-Christian projects in the Third World."
A coffee morning is to be held on May 18 at Providence Independent Methodist Church, Colne, to raise further cash.
