A SUCCESSFUL business was under threat - because the boss was ordered to collect poll tax payments. Ten of the staff at Seaways Services Ltd, Simonstone, claimed it was not worth working if the payments were deducted.
Owner Doug Cotterill, said: "I have received notices from Burnley Council ordering me to take money from their wages. I don't see why I should have to do their dirty work for them."
